“Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.” (Vince Lombardi)

This is particularly true when you’re trying to speak a foreign language. Sure, if you can become fluent that’s amazing. But you shouldn’t let the fact that you’re not perfect right now stop you from using the words you know. Even a few words can take you a long way.

Warren Hardy knows this well. In fact, he’s based a whole system of learning on it.

Warren Hardy Spanish Language Teaching Methods

At the Warren Hardy Hardy Spanish School, we use two synergistic teaching methods to accelerate your Spanish language skills, while making sure you have fun along the way. We teach four levels of Spanish. The first part of each level focuses on teaching the grammatical foundation of Spanish. The second part of each level emphasizes practicing conversational language skills both inside and outside the classroom. In all of our Spanish classes, we avoid shining the spotlight on any one student, and instead facilitate natural learning dynamics by pairing students with partners, playing games, and fostering a sense of camaraderie among classmates.

Foundation Spanish Classes

In the Foundation Classes, students play learning games with a partner of matched skills while overseen by an instructor.  You never answer or perform in front of the class, only to your partner. During the games, you take turns delivering and receiving cues from your partner. You use flashcards and your Spanish workbook as learning tools during the games. The Warren Hardy Method uses a “cross-training” modality that develops both reading/writing and speaking/understanding skills simultaneously.

·        Each level takes 2 ½ weeks to complete

·        Students study three days a week: M, W, F or T, Th, S from 9 to 12 noon.

·        There is approximately one hour of homework for each classroom hour.

Skill Development Spanish Classes

During Skill Development Classes, you will build on the knowledge you gained at the Foundation Level and start interacting with native Spanish speakers. You will study dialogues and then practice role plays in class. You’ll learn to read and tell stories in guided conversational settings. Your teacher will then take you into San Miguel to practice your Spanish skills in the real world.
